

In November 2023, the first carbon fiber high-speed passenger ship built by Xianli (Zhuhai) Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. for a client was successfully launched. The shipowner and Bureau Veritas (BV) attended and witnessed the event together. This high-speed passenger and cargo ship is the first 450-passenger carbon fiber vessel of a certain ferry project that Xianli has undertaken in bulk. It was designed by the renowned ship design company INCAT CROWTHER. The hull has a simple and elegant shape, and its carbon fiber hull is manufactured using one-time vacuum forming technology, featuring lightness and strength. Compared with traditional fiberglass boats, carbon fiber high-speed passenger ships are stronger, lighter, faster and more economical.
This vessel is a catamaran structure, fully equipped with Marine vinyl ester resins SW901-VP and SW901-TP from Swancor Advanced Materials Technology Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as Swancor). It is propelled by propellers, with a designed speed exceeding 23 knots. The vessel is 40 meters in length and 11 meters in width, capable of carrying 450 passengers, and is classified by the BV classification society.
