The 26th China International Composites Industry Technology Exhibition was grandly held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center from September 2nd to 4th, 2020. This time, we are newly launching the pre-impregnated resin SWANCOR 2591 and the carbon fiber injection & carbon-glass mixed injection resin SWANCOR 2519-2A/BS for key components such as the main beams of large wind turbine blades. And as always, it adheres to the Green Energy, Environmental Protection and Safety concept of "Green Energy & Environmental Protection & Safety", and continues to interpret the style of "expert in composite materials".

During the exhibition, Mr. CAI Zhaoyang, the chairman of Swancor Advanced Materials Technology Co., LTD., was interviewed live by the organizing committee of the Composites Exhibition. Mr. CAI introduced the development of Upwin in the global and Chinese markets, the current important R&D breakthroughs and future planning prospects, etc. The live broadcast was watched by more than 2,000 people.

At 3 p.m. on September 3rd, the "Swancor Cup" 6th National College Students' Composite Materials Design and Manufacturing Competition came to a successful conclusion. A grand award ceremony was held in the press conference area of China Composites Exhibition. The leaders attending the award ceremony included Liu Biao, the Party Secretary, Chairman and General Manager of China Composites Group Co., LTD., and CAI Zhaoyang, the Chairman of Swancor Advanced Materials Technology Co., LTD. Tang Zhiyao, the chairman of Taishan Fiberglass Co., LTD., and the judges of this competition, including Mr. Xiao Jun from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Mr. Zheng Xitao from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Mr. Zhang Chao from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Mr. Dong Guohua from Tongji University, Mr. Xiong Jian from Harbin Institute of Technology, Mr. Wang Jihui from Wuhan University of Technology, and Mr. Mei Qilin from Wuhan University of Technology, etc.

Mr. CAI Zhaoyang, the chairman of Swancor Advanced Materials Technology Co., LTD., congratulated the winning teams. Through the "Swancor Cup" competition, the innovative spirit and hands-on practical ability of contemporary students were demonstrated, and they experienced and understood the design concept of composite materials firsthand. At the same time, we would like to express our gratitude to the China International Composites Industry Technology Exhibition for providing the platform. We hope that more students majoring in composites can join the ranks of college students' competitions.

This year's competition took "High Ductility Composite Materials" as its theme and attracted 38 teams from 18 universities to participate. Under the principles of fair, impartial and open competition, after the fierce competition, the third team from Wuhan University of Technology won the first prize in high ductility composite materials, while the first team and the second team from Wuhan University of Technology won the second prize. The Dream Takeoff Team from Shanghai Institute of Technology, the Zhuo Xin Team from Northwestern Polytechnical University, and the three teams from Tongji University won the third prize in high ductility composite materials.

In the competition for outstanding posters, the "Materials Design All Team" from National University of Defense Technology won the first prize, the "Zhuoxin Team" from Northwestern Polytechnical University won the second prize, and the "Donghua University - Dongfu Chaoyan PLUS Team" won the third prize. Meanwhile, in the online voting, the National University of Defense Technology - "Will Meet Good Talents" team won the Best Popularity Award.
