In order to promote technological progress in China's composite materials industry, provide a stage for students majoring in composite materials to showcase their talents, and encourage college students to be bold in innovation, the organizing committee of the China International Composite Materials Industry Technology Exhibition has decided to hold the event during the China International Composite Materials Industry Technology Exhibition in September 2021. The "Swancor Cup" 7th National College Students' Composite Materials Design and Manufacturing Competition was held, and the competition was fully sponsored by Swancor Advanced Materials Technology Co., LTD. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

I. Theme

Competition Theme: Lightweight Composites • Leading the Future

Competition content: Lightweight carbon fiber composite material sandwich structure

Ii. Time and Place

On-site competition time: September 13th - 14th, 2021

Competition Venue: "Student Competition Area", Hall 3, Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center

Iii. Participants and Requirements

(1) Participants

Participants must be current undergraduate or postgraduate students, and each group must have at least three undergraduate members.

(II) Competition Requirements

Each participating team must be led by a person in charge who will serve as the main contact person with the organizing committee of the competition. Participants must be recommended by their units, and the participating units are responsible for the integrity of the participants. Due to the limited on-site conditions and competition time, each unit can have no more than three teams participating and the competition plans must not be the same. The number of members in each team is limited to 3 to 5. Once a participant registers, they cannot change their team members. Each participant is only allowed to join one team. The deadline for registration is June 20, 2021.

Iv. Registration

(1) Application Time and Method

The organizing committee of the competition will start accepting entries from the date of this notice. Students participating in the competition are requested to fill in the registration form in teams (please download the attachment from the website of the competition organizing committee http://www.cceshow.com), and send the scanned copy of the registration form to the organizing committee 's email address tianshi@whut.edu.cn before June 30, 2021. The organizing committee of the competition will notify the teams that have qualified for the competition before June 30th.

(4) Time and place for submission of design proposals and registration for the competition

Before September 1, 2021, each participating team should send the electronic version of the design draft (including the electronic document of the presentation poster) to the registration email. Before 15:30 on September 12, 2021, representatives of the participating teams need to report to the reception desk of the organizing committee of the competition with their competition posters (the specific location of the reception desk will be notified separately). Entries for the competition should be brought to the competition site before 9:00 a.m. on September 13th.

(V) The competition does not charge any fees. Participants are responsible for their own transportation, accommodation and meal expenses.

Vi. Awards

This competition sets up four awards, and cash prizes and certificates will be presented to the winners. The competition prize money is provided by Swancor Advanced Materials Technology Co., LTD.

Award for Design and Fabrication of Lightweight Carbon Fiber Composite Sandwich Structure

Under the premise that the sandwich structure meets the requirements of shape and performance, the ranking is based on the specific energy absorption of the works, with the highest one being ranked first (in case of the same specific energy absorption, the one with the lower quality is ranked first).

One first prize will be awarded, with a cash prize of 30,000 yuan and a certificate of merit

Two second prizes will be awarded, each with a cash prize of 20,000 yuan and a certificate of merit

Three third prizes will be awarded, each with a cash prize of 10,000 yuan and a certificate of merit

2. Outstanding Poster Award

One first prize will be awarded, with a cash prize of 3,000 yuan and a certificate of merit

One second prize will be awarded, with a cash prize of 2,000 yuan and a certificate of merit

One third prize will be awarded, with a cash prize of 1,000 yuan and a certificate of merit

3. Best Craftsmanship and Appearance Award

The on-site judges and the participating teams will evaluate and vote on the entries, and select one winner for the Best Craftsmanship Award, with a cash prize of 5,000 yuan and a certificate of award. The specific voting rules will be announced before the competition.

4. Best Popularity Award

Follow the wechat public account "CCExpo" of "China International Composites Exhibition" to participate in the online voting. The one with the highest number of votes will be awarded the Best Popularity Award, with a cash prize of 2,000 yuan and a certificate of award. The start and end times of the voting will be announced before the competition.
