

Shandong Yulong Petrochemical Industrial Park was approved by the provincial government in June 2019. In August 2019, the Yantai Municipal Government issued a document clearly defining the area and boundaries of the start-up zone of the industrial park, which is located on Yulong Island, an artificial island reclaimed from the sea in Longkou City. Yulong Petrochemical Industrial Park will rely on the unique geographical and resource advantages of Yulong Island. With the Yulong Island integrated refining and chemical project as the main line, it will extend the industrial chain downward, develop high-end chemical and new materials industries, and establish a long-term green development mechanism with the integrated refining and chemical industry as the core and a high degree of correlation between the industry and innovative research and development, petrochemicals and the terminal market. We will spare no effort to build a world-class green petrochemical industrial base that is "domestically leading and internationally first-class".
The sewage treatment plant of Yulong Petrochemical Industrial Park is one of the most important public utilities in the park. According to the development plan, the sewage treatment plant is used to treat the sewage of enterprises within the park. Among them, the designed sewage volume of Yulong Petrochemical is 3,300 cubic meters per hour, and that of other enterprises in the park is also 300 cubic meters per hour. The total designed scale is 3,600 cubic meters per hour. The designed reuse volume of treated sewage is 2,888 m³/h, the external discharge volume is 712m³/h, the designed scale of external drainage is 1,000 m³/h, and the sewage reuse rate is greater than 80%. The investment in the construction project is approximately 1.76 billion yuan (excluding tax).
Due to the fact that petrochemical refining and chemical wastewater contains various acids, alkalis and organic substances, etc., anti-corrosion construction needs to be carried out inside each biochemical tank and other facilities to ensure the durability of concrete, etc. The total anti-corrosion area of this project exceeds 180,000 square meters, with the largest single water pool having an anti-corrosion area of over 30,000 square meters. All the anti-corrosion materials selected were SWANCOR901 vinyl ester resin materials from Shangwu. Four anti-corrosion construction units carried out the work simultaneously, and the construction period lasted for two and a half months.
