Swancor Advanced Materials was invited to attend the "Siemens Gamesa Cabin Factory Completion and Supply Chain Conference" held by Siemens Gamesa today. The business assistant, CAI Ya , delivered a speech with two main themes: "Swancor Advanced Materials' Development into a global Supplier of Siemens Gamesa" and "Jointly Promoting New Technologies: Developing Recyclable Resins".
Swancor Advanced Materials has been engaged in the research of recyclable thermosetting epoxy resins for many years. In 2022, it released a globally revolutionary innovative product for the green circular economy - recyclable thermosetting epoxy resins and chemically degradable liquids. In the same year, it announced a collaboration with Siemens Gamesa, a leading global brand in renewable energy, on recyclable wind turbine blades. Currently, the recyclable wind turbine blades are being trial-produced in Denmark. It is expected to be used in major wind farms across Europe in the future. Recyclable wind turbine blades, after the wind turbines are retired, can simultaneously recover fibers and resins through a simple degradation process. The recovered materials can then be reused in the production of wind turbine blades or other manufacturing processes. The recycling process does not generate pollution such as waste solvents and exhaust gases, and it has a low carbon footprint.
As a strategic partner of Siemens Gamesa, Swancor Advanced Materials continuously supports Siemens Gamesa in implementing offshore wind power project construction. Additionally, through a strategic cooperation on recyclable blade resin, it helps Siemens Gamesa achieve its vision of full wind turbine unit recycling in Taiwan, creating a sustainable wind turbine blade life cycle and becoming a strong backing for Taiwan to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
In September 2023, Swancor Advanced Materials Technology Co., Ltd. and Shandong Longneng New Energy Co., Ltd. jointly established a subsidiary, Shandong Longneng Renewable Resources Utilization Co., LTD. The main business of this subsidiary is to recycle and process wind turbine blades and wind turbine units through physical processing for sale. This move has strengthened Swancor Advanced Materials' capabilities in the recycling of wind turbine blades and main units as well as the manufacturing of related recycled material products. The company has enriched the product categories of recycled material products and composite material recycling services in the wind power field, expanded the business of composite material recycling services and recycled material product manufacturing in the wind power industry, thus achieving a closed loop in the business model, with business comprehensively covering recyclable resins and traditional resin products.
By building a new Yantai wind power industry composite material recycling and product processing base and introducing relevant R&D, production and testing equipment, Swancor Advanced Materials has strengthened its service capabilities in the downstream composite material recycling field of the wind power industry, enriched its product and service system, expanded its business in composite material recycling and recycled material products, and enhanced the stickiness of its services to existing wind power customers. Consolidate the company's leading position in the industry.
